Musa Shariff targets improved season

Winger Sharif Musa has set his sights on an improved campaign after scoring twice in the club’s season-opening victory against Murang’a Seal in a SportPesa League tie at Nyayo Stadium. Musa made an immediate statement in Gor Mahia’s opening fixture, finding the back of the net twice to help the Kenyan champions begin their season on a positive note. The winger said securing the victory was crucial in building momentum as the new campaign gets underway, highlighting the importance of starting strongly. “The game was good and it was important we get the win. The match was so impactful, so important for us to build the momentum as the season begins,” Musa said. The brace offers an encouraging start for the attacker, who is determined to raise his performance levels after last season and contribute more to the team’s ambitions. Musa maintained that his primary objective is to keep improving, stressing that he wants to become a better player than he was in the previous campaign. “I think the most important thing is to be better than yesterday, so that is why I want to improve from last season and that is my target,” he added. His early-season performance will provide a confidence boost as Gor Mahia seek to maintain consistency and strengthen their push for another successful campaign. For Musa, however, the opening-day brace is only the beginning. The winger will be hoping to build on the impressive display, deliver more goals and establish himself as a key contributor as the season progresses.
