The team departed this morning for Homa Bay, ahead of tomorrow’s SportPesa League match against APS Bomet at the Raila Odinga Stadium from 4.15pm. The squad is expected to arrive in Homa Bay by mid-day, giving the players time to rest before a light training session at the match venue this evening. The session, scheduled for 4pm, will allow the team to familiarize itself with the pitch ahead of tomorrow’s encounter. Speaking before the team’s departure, Team Manager Philemon Otieno confirmed the travel plans and expressed confidence in the team’s preparations. “The team leaves this morning and we expect to be in Homa Bay by around lunch hour. The boys will have a rest before taking to the pitch this evening for a light training session in readiness for the task tomorrow,” said Otieno. The team will not return to Nairobi immediately after the match. According to Otieno, the squad will spend an additional night in Homa Bay before making the journey back. “After the match, we will spend the night in Homa Bay, have a light training session on Sunday, then travel back,” he added. Tomorrow’s fixture against APS Bomet promises to be a tough test, and the team will be hoping to make the long trip worthwhile with a strong performance at the Raila Odinga Stadium.
